Call for Contributions

Changes in higher education has been remarkable in the past five years: the rise of MOOCs is not the only challenge to the universities. In International Week 2016, we want to start a new substantial co-operation between universities. The ideas for co-operation could be something like:

Scaling the education

Massive open online courses (MOOC) as well as gamification of learning are just in the very beginning. What are the new forms of global delivery and how we can turn this into effective campus activities?

The data science

Big Data and Learning Analytics can finally bring personalised learning experiences available for all. How does data finally affect learning and how we can apply it?

Wild card

Something that will radically strengthen universities.

How to Submit Video-Clip Contributions

The call is not only for teachers/professors. Profession-specific contributions from administrative staff, librarians, R&D, IT, etc. are warmly welcome. The contributions will be submitted as short 90 second videos which will be used as part of the International Week´s programme. The technical quality is not the issue, it is your suggestions that are. The interest groups at our event will be formed based on your contributions, so it’s important that you bring your areas of interest in the forefront. Please, note though, that even we wish to get as many video-clip contributions as possible, we also welcome to take to this event without leaving one.

The International Week programme in Pori consists of keynotes, interest groups and social events. The overall goal of the week is to get something radically new started.
