Ph.D. (Engineering) Jyrki J.J. Kasvi is a member of the Finnish Parliament and the chair of the Espoo City Council. In addition to a political career, Jyrki Kasvi has worked as Research and Development Manager of the Finnish Information Society Development Centre and research scientist in the Helsinki University of Technology. Jyrki Kasvi’s particular areas of interest include information society, quality of work life, university policies, entrepreneurship and equality and tolerance.



Jarmo Viteli Ed.D., is a Research Director of University of Tampere’s Research Center for Information and Media (TRIM). In addition, Viteli has held and still holds several other notable positions such as Unesco’s information society developer in Namibia and reviewer for EU’s Technology Enhanced Learning programme.

Having enjoyed interacting with computers ever since from 1981 Viteli is a remarkable researcher in his field. He was one of the first Finnish academics to start researching social media and its opportunities in learning. His interests also include the opportunities future holds for working as well as learning.



Jari Multisilta is the the director of the University Consortium of Pori (FI), professor of multimedia at the Tampere University of Technology (FI). He is also the adjunct professor at the University of Helsinki (FI) and at the University of Lapland (FI). He has studied learning and educational technologies and has been the principal investigator and coordinator of several national and international research projects on his research area.

Currently, his research interests include learning, learning analytics, mobile video storytelling, 21st century skills, and gamification. Prof. Multisilta was the director of Cicero Learning Network at the University of Helsinki from 1/2011 to 10/2014. He has been a Visiting Fellow at Nokia Research Center (FI) from 1/2008 to 12/2009 and the Nokia Visiting Professor on 2012. Multisilta has also been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University (USA) for 18 months during 2007–2014.



Harri Ketamo, Ph.D., is an independent researcher and start-up entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in learning sciences, artificial intelligence, data mining and game development. Currently he is founder and chief scientist at HeadAI ltd, a company focusing on semantic data management. Prior to HeadAI, he has founded e.g. SkillPixels ltd (games based learning) and gameMiner ltd (game AI). He is also a Senior Fellow at University of Turku and at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
